Asia Community Foundation (ACF) is an independent, trusted giving platform that aims to accelerate philanthropy in Asia for greater impact. Headquartered in Singapore, ACF aims to support individuals, families, and institutions as their trusted partner in philanthropy.
Established in 2022 by a group of philanthropists from the Asia Philanthropy Circle, ACF was born out of the pressing need for a regional platform to facilitate cross-border giving in Asia. Its mission is to unlock greater philanthropic giving, connect donors with nonprofit organisations, and scale support for meaningful social impact work in Asia.
Reporting to the Associate Director of the Grantmaking & Impact team, Asia Community Foundation (ACF) is looking for an Associate who is passionate about encouraging and facilitating collaborative giving across a variety of social issues and geographies in Asia.
Key Responsibilities
The Associate will play a key role in the Grantmaking & Impact team, providing crucial support and contributing towards ACF’s mission and strategic direction. This role involves primarily supporting the grant lifecycle, as well as operational and knowledge management needs of the Grantmaking & Impact team.
Grant Administration
- Work across teams within ACF to ensure smooth and efficient grant management for ACF’s fund portfolio
- Support the onboarding process of social impact partners that are in alignment with ACF’s mission and strategy;
- Timely preparation, issuance, and tracking of grant agreements to ACF’s social impact partners;
- Oversee and track existing grant disbursements and reporting schedules to prevent any lapses or disruptions in grant continuity;
- Maintain partner records and grant files within internal systems, ensuring data is accurate, current, well organized, and reliable.
- Support due diligence, assessments, and evaluations of potential social impact partners in alignment with ACF's stringent compliance framework to enable high quality partnerships.
Operations and Knowledge Support
- Conduct thorough background research and compile issue-area information to support grantmaking initiatives, donor engagement and program development
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of communication materials related to social impact partners and programmatic initiatives for internal and external audiences.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for events, including online and in-person convenings.
- Assist knowledge development efforts by preparing research summaries, partner profiles, and briefing materials
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least two years of relevant experience in the nonprofit or social impact sector; relevant internships will also be considered.
- Demonstrated interest in building a career in philanthropy and/or social impact space.
- Experience in relationship-focused roles and/or exposure to the philanthropy sector is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional Southeast Asian language is an advantage.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify discrepancies and support compliance with grantmaking requirements.
- Ability to synthesise information from multiple sources and support problem‑solving efforts.
- Resourceful self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to support additional administrative or project‑based tasks as needed.
We offer a competitive salary range of $3,800 to $4,000, with actual remuneration reflective of the candidate’s experience, skill set, and overall fit for the role.
