
Intern, Finance & Operations
The Intern, Finance & Operations will support the Asia Community Foundation, a Singapore-registered charity, in various financial operations (FinOps). Working closely with the Senior Manager, Finance & Operations, this internship provides valuable exposure to financial tasks, analysis, and reporting, making it ideal for students or recent graduates.
Asia Community Foundation (ACF) is an independent, trusted giving platform that catalyzes funding at scale with informed, efficient grant-making for donors acting individually or collectively. Singapore-based, this charitable organisation supports individuals, families, and institutions as their trusted partner in purposeful philanthropy.
Established in 2022 by a group of philanthropists from Asia Philanthropy Circle, ACF was born out of the pressing need for a regional platform to facilitate cross-border giving in Asia. Our mission is to promote purposeful giving in Asia by connecting donors and nonprofits to achieve greater results than they could on their own. As a community, we believe that we can create positive change and address some of the most pressing socioeconomic and environmental issues facing Asia today.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare donation receipts, invoices, and payments
- Compile detailed supporting bookkeeping documents
- Perform journal entries and data entries
- Accurately maintain accounting files and records
- Assist in daily financial operations
- Support month-end close processes and report generation, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, general ledger, internal control, and reporting schedules, etc
- Support in budget tracking and forecasting
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance or Accounting
- Understanding of financial principles and accounting practices
- Possess the professionalism and integrity required to handle confidential information
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and sensitive to numbers
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Effective communication skills
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Passionate about the charity sector
